Raita Pakistani type

   

 

Mix two cups of plain natural yoghurt with 1 clove garlic, crushed; 1/4 tsp. cumin powder (roast cumin powder lightly in frying pan to freshen up its flavour); a few leaves of chopped mint (or a pinch of dried mint, as from a tea bag); finely chopped fresh green chili according to taste; salt and black pepper.

 
   

Cool, serve in small bowls to accompany oriental food instead of a salad.
